1. We have a strange book that could use a better home. It is a scrapbook of
sorts, but also has handwritten entries for people in Fulton Co. NY in late
1853 and early 1854, for things like socks, tobacco, ribbons, etc. But the
clips pasted in to some of the pages mention things that occurred in the
1880s.

Very nice historical book, but of no use to us here in Rochester.

2. A copy of a really strange item, which nominally is the Memorial of
Horace Eaton, published I Boston in 1885. But it too contains many clipping
pasted into it, some as late as 1933. Included are items relating to the
history of Bergen NY, but it seems to be more mid York State that anything
else, with Dryden Lodi, and the Cayuga Lake Bridge of 1800 mentioned. Very
interesting.

3. Sister Marie Patrice Gallagher's "History of Catholic Elementary
Education in the Diocese of Buffalo 1847-1944, which is a PhD thesis by
above named nun published by the Catholic University in 1945. Very
interesting indeed, and probably of use to someone in more Western NY.
WorldCat shows a number of you in WNY already have this.

4. And last but not least, the Protokoll buch: das Krangten Vereine der
Deutsche; 1858 would be cataloged 369 in DDC. Has a few cakes recipes in the
back, too.

Weird, we got!
