[Genealib] Question for you experts...

I am ready to start a book on  Southeast Alabama Newspaper Extractions: 
Obituraries, Marriages, Reunions and Such...        This will cover about a 
10 year period or more.

I need to know if newspaper information of this type is "Public Domain"   or 
if I have the right to use these clippings right out of the newspaper.
