To Whom It May Concern,
In regards to recent problems that libraries have been experiencing with
Internet Explorer while using Ancestry Library Edition, we believe we
have rolled a fix today that may resolve this issue for many libraries.
The new code was added to our site at 12:30 PM MST today.
This error appears to be isolated the following versions of Internet
Explorer, or older:
IE 6.0.2900.2120.xpsp_sp2_rtm.05301-1519
IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158
IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.05301-1519
If you have a browser that is still experiencing errors, please close
that browser and open a new one. You can also press the CTRL + F5, to
refresh your browser. These steps should allow the new files we've
rolled to be accessed on your browser.
If you are still experiencing this error after trying the steps above,
please contact our technical support team by calling 1-800-509-3884 M-F
8 AM - 5 PM MST, or if you are international you can email us at
libraryedition at ancestry.com. The more information we receive, the faster
we will be able to troubleshoot the issue.
Additionally, libraries where it is possible, may want to run the latest
Internet Explorer updates on their machines or upgrade to IE 7, this is
not mandatory, but we believe the error is isolated to the IE 6 browsers
mentioned above. If your library also has FireFox installed, it can be
used as a temporary solution if you are still experiencing this issue.
Thank you,
