I JUST looked at the "Cindex" web site.

There is a really good guide to "what to look for"

http://indexres.com/soft_info.php  for information on what to look for in 
indexing software... 

And they have different programs for PC and Mac.

they also have several versions depending on your need.

I do not Presently, use them. But it looks like a good site.

Now am going to check out a few others.
