Since our announcement of July 14, 2006, our single most important
publication has been the CD-ROM assembled by Jacquelyn Ladd Ricker entitled
THE RICKER COMPILATION of Vital Records of Early Connecticut. Based largely
on the Barbour Collection of Connecticut Town Vital Records, the pre-eminent
source in Connecticut genealogy, THE RICKER COMPILATION contains 1.2 million
records of births, marriages, and deaths from over 135 Connecticut towns,
plus another 300,000 records from cemeteries, probate records, and family
Bibles.
Our most important new books since July include the final or continuing
volumes in three series of source records pertaining to colonial Maryland,
18th-19th century Tennessee, and Native Americana.
You will find links to full descriptions of the aforementioned titles below.
You may also wish to tell your patrons that we have added over 3 million
names to the name index feature of our Web site, www.genealogical.com.
Finally, as we approach 2007, please be on the lookout for a number of major
works pertaining to 17th- and 18th-century Virginia genealogy--just in time
for the spring celebration of the Virginia quadracentennial.
Best wishes,
