[Genealib] Speaking of book indexes...

Is anyone on the GENEALIB list from Genealogical Publishing Company?

GPC recently published three books of Eastern, Central, and Western
Tennessee's "forgotten children" - apprenticed orphans from all the
county records. I forget in which order they were published, but
they are indexed. The first two have normal indexes, but the index
to the third one makes no sense - children are listed on page numbers
which exceed the number of pages in the book. I think something went
wrong with the indexing process. How can a publisher correct
something like that? It would be too costly to reprint the entire
book and replace all those that have been sold so far. GPC recently
stopped offering library discounts, so I'd guess they are hurting too.
