[Genealib] Binder Minder Platen Cover

The binder minders enabled us to lease higher-quality office copiers and
adapt them for library use. We were able to fold the library copier
lease into the general office copier lease, and save some money. The
binder minders work quite well in preventing wear and tear on the
binding - if the patrons use it correctly. No amount of signs and
information will prevent patrons from trying to save money by pressing
the book down flat on the glass and getting two pages for the price of
one. But many patrons do use the copier correctly, and therefore the
binder minder does cut down on damage to our books.

Subject: [Genealib] Binder Minder Platen Cover

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with the Binder Minder cantilevered
platen cover? (www.bookminder.com <http://www.bookminder.com/> ) And,
if so, what did you think? How were the copies? Did it hold up??
Really protect books, etc?

Much thanks,

Mary Mannix
