[Genealib] SL Genealogy Meeting

All,

Actually, only genealogist Craig Scott (aka "Krag Mariner") was lecturing,
but librarian Lori Bell (aka "Lorelei Junot") was transcribing his words
from his audio presentation, and re-typing those in the Second Life
auditorium for everyone to read. She did do a great job of keeping up with
Craig's lecture, and typing the key points. Those of us who also were using
the OPAL Auditorium got to hear Craig's lecture directly (it was excellent),
and his PowerPoint slides were displayed on a huge screen in the Second Life
virtual open air theater. (A second huge screen had the URL for accessing
the OPAL Auditorium for the audio lecture.)

I promise to keep this list aware of future genealogy-related events in
Second Life, but I do hope that a few more of you will join us in SL to see
the possibilities. I'll especially appreciate hearing feedback on the way
that the SL librarians have designed the online genealogy resources.

Drew Smith (aka "Drew Rodinia")
