Laura,
I encourage you to register & download second life. I managed to make it
to InfoIsland for the Genealogy Meeting and see a great potential. I am
not super tech savy and it took me awhile to navigate around SL. I was
late to the meeting but it showed me the value of a virtual forum. (of
course it took genealogy to peak my interest!) I hope Drew makes us aware
of the next lecture, but I suggest you practice going in and finding how
to get to Info Island ahead of time so you can make it. The two
genealogists lecturing did a great job.

You did better than I did at finding it. I assumed we have to register
which I did, but then ran out of time last night looking for it before
my husband picked me up from work. I could not pursue at home since we
are having line problems with the Internet at home.
