We do not have a microfilm scanner attached to a computer at this branch,
but our other branch does. We do not charge to scan from the microfilm
reader or from our regular scanners. We do sell CD-Rs and floppies for
$1.00, and we charge $.10 for prints.

Subject: [Genealib] microfilm scanners

We have three microfilm scanners which we have set up with a coin op
to print to a laser printer. We are considering retrofitting one of
those scanners to scan to a computer. It is a Minolta MS6000. Do
any of you have microfilm scanners which are hooked up to a computer
for patron use? (self service) How do you recover your cost? Do you
ask patrons to pay to make a scan?
