Births, deaths, and marriages that have appeared between 1898 and 2002
in /The Grapevine Sun/, our local newspaper, have been indexed and are
on our website:
http://www.grapevine.lib.tx.us/gvsearch.asp
Most lookup requests come to me via the appropriate e-mail link on the
site. We don't have a limit on the number of names per request, but
four at one time is the most I've received in the almost-five years that
I've been here. The requester gives the info from the index and I make
the copy and mail it. We currently charge $1.00 per page to cover our
costs and don't require a SASE. For first-time requesters, I always let
them know the fee and wait for them to say OK before proceeding.
For events after 2002, I will look them up at no extra charge, even if
they don't know the month of the event. The/ Sun/ was published only
twice a week at most, and it's a very small paper.
