[Genealib] Abbreviation "ms't"

So could you say it means within the last 30 days?

This just seems to be a day when I have to be disagreeable.
 
Actually it is not "in the current month".  For example if it says, died on the 20th inst. and it was written the next month on the 5th it means previous.
 
Inst. always means the current month. If someone died on the 20th inst, you would be writing in the same month, before the end of the month. If you were writing on the 5th the following month it would be 20th ult. (which means the 20th ultimo, which means previous month).
