[Genealib] Abbreviation "ms't"

That is apparently not ms't., but rather inst., the abbreviation for instant, which means "in the current month."

We have a copy of a transcript of a letter dated 27th July, 1883 written
by a United States Consular Agent. Throughout the letter is the
abbreviation "ms't." It is always preceded by a number, indicating a
date (e.g. ...on the 20th ms't...). Does anyone know what this "ms't"
means? We would appreciate any help or information.
