The 26th IAJGS Conference on Jewish Genealogy holds exciting opportunities
for professional educators, librarians, and genealogy educators. This is the
line-up of presentations:
* Lifelong Learning: Teach Genealogy to Adults
Join panelists Shelly Talalay Dardasti, Nolan Altman, and Rhoda Miller and
moderator Susan Stone, representing considerable experience teaching
genealogy to adults in various educational settings: adult education,
community group presentations, online courses, in-service for teachers, and
college credit.
* Engage Children in Learning by Teaching Family History
Join panelists Daniel Horowitz, Linda Volin, Ira Wolfman, and William Foster
Hayes III, Ph.D. and moderator Rhoda Miller, who have many years of
experience in teaching genealogy to children in religious schools and public
schools, authoring books, and conducting doctoral research.
* Serving Genealogy Patrons: A Librarian's Guide
Join Toni Raptis, genealogy librarian of the Patchogue-Medford Public
Library, the genealogical center of the Suffolk County Library System. Hear
about her innovative ideas in serving the genealogy public.
* Are you thinking about teaching genealogy? Hone your skills by attending
