I have a customer who is moving his deceased mother's genealogy
collection from Virginia to Maryland. He has asked advice on how to
accomplish this. Is anyone on the list able to help with the following
questions:

>1) We have run across one document which appears to potentially be the
>original high school diploma of my grandfather. It is in a great state
>of disrepair (tattered) and needs to be preserved. Would you please
>provide me a recommendation on what local resources I can use to
>preserve this document?
>
>2) Generically, I have other copies and other non-original
>documentation that I need to temporarily file so that I can take it to
>Annapolis, MD and sort it. Would you please provide me with a
>recommendation on what would be a good method for doing this? (Some of
>the documents are ledger sized,
>11"x17".)
>
>3) I would like to take at least one copy of my Mom's obituary which
>was in the Virginian Pilot and preserve it. As you know, news print is
>not very good for long-term archival, unless it is prepared. Would you
>please provide me with a recommendation on how I can preserve these
obituaries?
>

Thanks.
