Janet,
May I suggest you look at Ancestry's Redbook which is a guide to
state and local records. For ,ethods, Val greenwood's The researcher's
guide to American genealogy is a must--3rd edition, and I'd add Barbara
Rennick's Genealogy 101.
Ref tools should include Elizabeth Shown Mills books Evidence! and
Professional Genealogy.

I'd look for anything by Brenda Dougal Merriiman for ontario content

Delighted my alma mater is offering sch a class. When I was at Library
school at UBC I had to create my own program to prepare for my career as
a geealogy librarian. Drove my profs nuts as I jumped from public library
to academic library courses

Any money in the budget for guest lecturers? Would to get involved. Just
retired to Penticton after 22 yrs as local history/genealogy librarian in
Regina
