Hello GENEALIB,
I am working on a project for my degree, in which I am analyzing the postings of the first 7 years of GENEALIB. I have some preliminary questions, and would be eternally thankful if any of you wonderful list members could answer some of these queries:
Can you recommend any scholarly articles on the state of genealogical librarians/archivists today? If none exist, can you recommend any scholarly articles on the state of genealogy today, both as a hobby and as a profession?
What are considered the “best” and most prestigious genealogical libraries/archives in the U.S. and Canada today? By Whom? What criteria was used in this determination?
What year did AncestryPlus and HeritageQuest Online enter the market?
Thank you so much,
Irene Hansen
