Before I retired in 2004, the New Orleans Public Library kept the 
microfiche edition because we liked the state by state and country by 
country arrangement. We had also hosted several GSU microfilming 
programs over the years to film genealogical material in the New Orleans 
City Archives Collection and the Orleans Parish Civil Courts 
Collection.  I also assisted in convincing a number of  local churches, 
cemeteries and other repositories, including one funeral home to allow 
the Mormons to film their records. While we were usually able to find 
them in the on-line catalog to supply the Family History Library Call 
Number and refer correspondents to their local Mormon Library, there 
were a number of collocations which could only be located on the fiche.  
Occasionally it was because of  poor cataloging and we would eventually 
find the collections,  but some collections just didn't seem to have 
been entered into the on-line catalog. Despite several written requests 
to have some of the microfilmed versions or our collections recataloged, 
nothing was ever done to correct the entries.
