[Genealib] Ancestry for free?

Ancestry.com is made available for free to all Family History Centers of 
the LDS Family History Library - across North America to the best of my 
knowledge. Please note that it is Ancestry.com, not Ancestry Library 
Edition, and in my area, that means that none of the Canadian or UK 
information is available.  Some Family History Centers do charge for 
access time, but that's in order to recoup for their Internet Service 
Provider, not the subscription to Ancestry.com itself.

[Genealib] Ancestry for free?






I had an out-of-town patron visiting my genealogy department today. She 
was appalled to find out we have to pay for Ancestry Library Edition. She 
said she works at an LDS library and they get it for free. Not that it 
affects me, but does she know what she’s talking about?
