Hello, All,

I've been the director of a small public library in Iowa for one year now,
and I've been lurking on the edge of this list for a short time. I wonder
if you could give me suggestions for a core collection appropriate to a
small library? So that you will have an idea of our size: our card holder
count is approximately 8,500 with a town population of about 5,600, and we
have around 45,000 items in our collection.

We currently offer our local newspaper on microfilm with older editions
bound, as well as local histories, some personal genealogies that have been
donated and a few nationally published titles but many of these go back to
the 1980s.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!!

Jet Kofoot
