[Genealib] Genealogy Research Classes

One of our more popular series we do is German genealogy. We have a large German population in our area and so we began a series five years ago in October (German Heritage Month) on German genealogy and local German heritage. We do 4-5 programs on consecutive Thursday evenings. Our turn-outs have usually been large.
We are also going to start a monthly roundtable type-program called congenealogy this spring. A staff member will give a short presentation and then the floor will be open for discussion and questions.
We do the usual intro classes, online genealogy, orientation tours, and neighborhood tours. We spread classes out across our system (not just at the main library where the genealogy collection is housed).
Finally, we participate in the annual Northern Kentucky History Day held in February (a gathering of area historical, genealogy and preservation societies). Typically our staff give two presentations (they usually get the largest crowds of all the workshops).
