Regarding your observation:
My research on a small genealogy sampling (total sample size is approximately
4,000 records) shows the state of California has the greatest number of hits
of all the states, (Genealogy records indicating an association with that
state), but shows the least response or interest from California people who would
be related or should have at least a passing interest. For example:
Responses include Libraries as well as individuals
Top Three
531 California - Responses NIL
398 New York - Response Very Large
298 Pennsylvania - Responses Moderate
Bottom Three
12 Vermont - Responses Small
9 Nevada - Response Small
2 Alaska - Responses NIL
