Graduate Assistant/Database Administrator

College of Business, Office of Employer Relations

 

Graduate Assistant position available in the College of Business, Office
of Employer Relations.  
Pay is hourly and includes a partial or full tuition waiver. 
Hours per week:  20.

 

Qualifications: 


Required

*        Must be a current student in a Graduate Business program

*        Must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA

*        Must be enrolled at full-time status (6 credit hours in the
summer; 9 credit hours in the Fall and Spring)

*        Excellent communication skills - both oral and written

*        Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a
customer-oriented environment. 

*        Professional demeanor 

*        Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and
Word

*        Advanced knowledge of MS Access

*        Knowledge of e-mail and internet browsing and research

*        Positive work ethic and attitude. Must be enthusiastic about
and dedicated to working for the Office of Employer Relations. 

*        Ability to work effectively with different personalities and
interests

*        Ability to work independently and multitask 

                                    

Responsibilities:    

         

*        Maintain corporate contact database in Microsoft Access,
including data entry and the development of queries and reports

*        Disseminate career development and employment information
throughout the college to benefit students, faculty, and employers

*        Assist in organizing and promoting events for career
development and networking purposes

*        Assist with various office mailings and promotions 

*        Communicate with employers concerning on-campus recruiting

*        Communicate with students concerning available on and
off-campus career resources 

*        Clerical and general office duties as needed, including filing
and general organizing
